This site is dedicated to the memory of Edward Lester.

Edward was born in Northampton on November 18, 1998. He is much loved and will always be remembered by his friends and family, especially his sister Sophie, brothers Daniel, David and twin brother James. Edward touched the lives of every person who met him, radiating unconditional love, lighting up the room with his huge smile. Edward had a challenging life resulting from problems he developed a few weeks after being born. This resulted in cerebral palsy, making him unable to talk or walk. This did not stop him being the happiest boy in the world, always laughing and interacting with us all. As the years went by he underwent several operations to keep him comfortable as he grew up. Unfortunately he then developed a spine deforming condition that twisted his back in such a way that he had to remain in bed. He loved going to school and missed his school friends and teachers when this happened. They came to visit him at home on a number of occasions and it really brightened up his day - and theirs. The school had previously taught Edward how to use an iPad and he soon discovered the wide choices on YouTube. The iPad gave him control of his day and really helped him. He discovered many obscure programs and we all got to enjoy the delights of cartoons such as Batfink and Mighty Mouse, his favourite. We have included the theme tune from Mighty Mouse on this tribute page. It may seem odd, but he really enjoyed watching it and it reminds many of us of the things he liked.
